Halloween

Thought I would post a few pics of Halloween trick-or-treating.  It was very cold out, but the kids had so much fun.

Winter arrived

One Saturday we took the kids for a bike ride along the river...it was +20.  Two days later it was winter.

Fox ladies fall vacation

Somehow Joanne Fox managed to convince me to run a half marathon in San Francisco.  When I first told Grant I was going to do it, his response was "you know you're going to have to run right?  For 21km!!!!".  Grant knows I don't love running...at least any distance longer than 100m....but I needed a goal...something to get me back into shape after 2 kids and bladder surgery and my friend Jackie said she would join us.  So, the training started....I mountain biked a lot...and ran a bit.  ;).  And then on Oct 20th weekend, I had an amazing 4 day girls weekend in San Francisco and even managed to have a good run...running at sea level when I live at a much higher altitude made a huge difference!  I played disc golf in Golden Gate Park, shopped, did some sight seeing, ate great food and had a good run.  A much needed vacation.  So good that I am currently planning another girls vacation for next Oct.  Grant goes kite surfing with the boys every year, and now I'm going to go do a vacation with the girls every year.  It's very rejuvenating.

Nike is the sponsor of the race and at the Nike store, they have the names of all the racers...this wall had 30,000 names on it...I'm pointing to my name.  It was pretty cool
