MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR
I realized that it's been a while since I've written a post. I have an excuse...we have moved and it's been a bit hectic! On Nov 22nd we moved to Canmore. We are soooo thrilled to be back. Our new house is awesome....the mountain bike trail starts 15 steps from the end of our driveway...we are in such a great location! The move was busy and the kids cooperated in their usual fashion with pneumonia and croup on moving day, so it was a bit of a gong show between trying to get moved in and trips to the hospital.....and then all of a sudden it was Christmas.
We have been walking in the woods, off to parks and tobogganing with the kids. Grant has been biking in the snow (he has tires with studs on them so he can still bike), and skiing at sunshine and I have been trail running and skate skiing at the nordic centre. It's so nice to be so close to activity. We even managed to find some new awesome babysitters...so we are going snowboarding on Saturday...I can't think of the last time Grant and I skied together!
Christmas was fun...the kids got spoiled with trains, doll houses, fire stations and several different musical instruments. We even got a picture with Santa with both kids smiling!
The kids are getting big....Evan turns two on Jan 1. I can't believe he's going to be two already. We are hoping to get Madison out on the ski hill this winter...we just need to convince her to put on her ski boots. She's excited about the skis, but not the ski boots. Hmmmm. Any suggestions would be welcome.
