3 years old must be like menopause...Hot flashes where you must strip off almost all your clothes. It's +2 out today...fall is definitely here and I expect winter to arrive with snow any day now. ...and yet my 3 year old can't keep her clothes on!
I struggle to get her into socks and pants and shoes (she still insists on wearing her summer dresses and flip flops), to go outside...and the moment we walk in the door she is stripping down to her underwear, while I am cold in my long sleeve, long pants and fuzzy slippers. Now maybe if I was 10 years older...it would totally see where she was coming from...but as it stands, I wonder how she can possible be warm enough!
This blog was created when our daughter Madison was born as a way to share our life and adventures with our family and friends.

More Summer
We've had a awesome summer...great weather, good vacations, lots of activity....the way a summer should be!
When we got back from the coast, we had a wake for my dad. He passed away last November, but we didn't have a wake for him until this August, so that we could spread his ashes at his house in Alder Flats. He was a pretty cool man.
We have had lots of biking adventures this summer...Madison is loving her bike and rides it everywhere, and because of that, Evan is starting to be interested in his bike too....Grant had to put a special seat on it so that Evan could touch the ground (one of his thin road bike racing seats....which I'm sure on a real bike would be really uncomfortable).
School has officially started...Madison starts preschool next tuesday! I'm taking a year leave to be home with the kids again which I'm looking forward to. We were trying to sell our house to move back to Canmore, but it didn't sell this summer, so looks like we will be in Calgary for another year...we'll try again next spring.

Summer Vacation
3 weeks Vacation...it's a lot more work than it used to be, but we had an amazing time! Visited family, played some ultimate, biked, kite surfed, did some beach combing, ate seafood....we had a great time! Evan's vocabulary is going through the roof, and Madison is just getting sweeter and sweeter by the day.

He's a hugger!
Yup, Evan's a hugger. Gives the best hugs and if you're lucky he'll give you a kiss too (sometimes this is just a peck and sometimes it's all teeth!). He knows that if he hits or hurts you he needs to say sorry and give you a hug....this lesson has somewhat back fired...now he will hit you just so he can hug you!!!

Oh the things kids say
Grant, Evan and Madison all playing upstairs in the playroom. Grant throws a ball, it bounces off the couch and hits Evan. They all have a good laugh and then Madison looks at Grant and says "that ball totally hit that kid".
Haha. Words of a two year old!
