Visiting the farm animals

I took Madison and Evan to a farm called Butterfield Acres.  A great little farm to take kids to where they can go into pens with animals, go on a pony ride, a tractor ride and play in little playgrounds they have sectioned off.  Unfortunately it wasn't much fun for Evan...though he didn't seem to mind...he just slept in the stroller the whole time...but for Madison it was fun and scary all at the same time.

It was interesting to see what animals she liked and which ones she was afraid of.  On the whole, the smaller the animal, the more she liked it. (bunnies and chicks she wasn't afraid of at all).  She LOVED the little chicks....and was soooo gentil when I picked one up for her to touch.  (we ended up going into the chick pen a few times.)

She also really liked the goats...it probably helped that they were her size (though once she got used to them she went over and petted the bigger ones) and they weren't shy and came over to her...once she had touched the goats, while still clinging to me, she got a little braver, let me put her down and wandered over to them on her own.

She wasn't a big fan of the horses (...no surprise there...they're huge compared to her) or the sheep....and she clung to me so tightly that I could have walked around not holding on to her at all and she wouldn't have fallen.
